The Very Reverend Jason Roberson

The Very Reverend Jason Roberson was installed as the Cathedral Provost on April 2, 2023. He served most recently on the Bishop’s staff as Canon Missioner for Congregational Vitality and Transitions from 2021-2023.

Father Jason has served in both South Carolina (Holy Cross Faith Memorial in Pawleys Island) and Virginia, he is fluent in Spanish, and he brings with him a wealth of experience in a variety of multicultural and multilingual contexts. He served for over four years at Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria, VA, a bilingual and multicultural congregation that is an integral part of the historic Latino community in Northern Virginia. Before attending seminary, Father Jason taught Spanish Language and Linguistics for more than 14 years at the University of Georgia, Penn State University, and the College of Charleston. He has worked extensively in the field of medical and court interpretation, and he served as coordinator of interpreter services at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Father Jason holds Master of Arts degrees from New York University and Penn State University, and he holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary.
