Friends of Trinity Cathedral was founded to support and promote the restoration and historic preservation needs of Trinity Cathedral. At this time, preservation of the stained glass windows and mosaics, and restoration of the interior masonry are the greatest priorities.
As with any historic building, particularly one surrounded by salt water and commercial development, time has taken a toll on the Cathedral’s historic building, its inspiring stained glass windows and its beautiful Italian mosaics. Restoration and preservation costs are estimated in the millions, far exceeding the financial capabilities of the congregation alone. As such, the Cathedral must turn to outside support from individuals, foundations, and organizations that believe strongly in the important role of Trinity Cathedral in the history of this Diocese and this community. Become a Friend of Trinity today by clicking on the donate button or clicking on the registration form below.
A special level of supporters called “First Friends” was established to recognize individuals and organizations that make a gift to Friends of Trinity Cathedral of $1000, $2500, $5000 or more. If you have questions or need to know more information about the Friends of Trinity Cathedral program, contact Cheryl Chapman, Executive Director of Friends of Trinity Cathedral, at 786-888-6694, or Douglas McCaleb, Dean at 786-888-6691.
